The Schellmann family has in the community Gumpoldskirchen (Wine-growing region Thermenregion, Lower Austria) has a three-hundred-year tradition of viticulture. The last in the long wine-growing family history was Gottfried Schellmann (1928-2004), who is considered the pioneer and wine-growing doyen of the area.
