Scheuerberg

Single location in the municipality of Neckarsulm (Württembergisch Unterland area) in the German growing region Wuerttemberg, Wine has been documented here since the end of the 13th century. The name is derived from the shape of the location, which is reminiscent of a barn roof. Scheuer is the Swabian name for barn. The vineyards, oriented from west to southeast, with a slope of 10 to 50%, cover 112 hectares of vineyards. The heavy soils consist mainly of weathered Keuper and reed sandstone with a high proportion of lime. Thanks to its wedge-shaped orientation, the Scheuerberg is a weather divide. For this reason, severe weather in particular pulls past it into the Odenwald or the Weinsberg valley. The red wine varieties Pinot Noir, Trollinger and Lemberger, as well as Riesling are cultivated here. The vineyards, for example, have a share in the situation Drautz-Able and Friedauer,
