Schmelzer Horst and Georg

The winery is located in the municipality Gols (Neubaugasse 29) in the Burgenland wine-growing region Lake Neusiedl (Austria). In 1995, the brothers Horst and Georg Schmelzer, who were trained as winemakers and cellar masters, took over the family business. They also expanded the customer base on an international level. The vineyards cover 12 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards Altenberg. Bless. Goldberg, Sentence, Ungerberg, Meadow fields and dwarf fields. 65% of them are planted with the white varieties Welschriesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Grüner Veltliner, Pinot Gris, Neuburger, Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Muscat Ottonel, and 35% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch , St. Laurent and Cabernet Sauvignon.
