The winery is located in the municipality of St. Martin (Südliche Weinstraße area) in the German wine-growing region of Pfalz. The winery, which has been in the family for over 250 years, is run by Winfried and Eugenie Seeber, assisted by their son Friedrich. The vineyards cover 18 hectares of vines in the single vineyard sites Heiligenberg, Kapellenberg and Kirchenstück (Maikammer), Doktor (Venningen), Schlossberg (Hambach) as well as Johanniskirchel, Ölgässel and Paradies (Diedesfeld). A large number of varieties are cultivated. These are the white wine varieties Riesling, Weißer Burgunder, Grauer Burgunder, Chardonnay, Gewürztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Goldmuskateller, Silvaner, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Scheurebe and Morio Muskat, as well as the red wine varieties Spätburgunder, St. Laurent, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Regent, Blauer Frühburgunder, Dornfelder, Portugieser, Heroldrebe, Dunkelfelder, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Dorio.

Planting takes into account the best possible location and soil for each variety. Organic viticulture is practised according to the guidelines of Bioland (certified by ABCERT). Nutrients are supplied by sowing or cover crop or by humus-bound fertiliser from organic production (e.g. rapeseed meal, malt germs, etc.). Only organic wines are produced, which are also suitable for vegans (vegetarians). The white wines are fermented and matured in steel tanks. The red wines mature in large wooden barrels or barriques after traditional mash fermentation.

Premium wines are the red wine cuvée "Franz I" (Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot Barrique-Asubau), the white wine "Weißer Burgunder Spätlese trocken" and the hand-shaken sparkling wine "Weißer Burgunder brut". In addition, other sparkling wines, secco (sparkling wines), non-alcoholic grape secco, noble brandies from our own distillery (grape, pomace, fruit), liqueurs (peppermint, walnut, chilli coffee), port-style liqueur wine and grape juice are produced.

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
