Seer Wolfgang

The estate is located in the commune of Platt in the Lower Austrian wine region Weinviertel, It has been managed by Ing. Wolfgang Seher since 2001. The vineyards cover 12.5 hectares of vineyards in the vineyards of Faustberg, Hausweingarten, Leithen and Sandberg (Platt), as well as Atschbach, Breiten, Hochbergen, Langviertel, Nussberg and Satz (Obermarkersdorf). They are planted to 60% with the white varieties Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Blanc, Yellow Muscat and Frühroter Veltliner , as well as 40% with the red varieties Zweigelt, Blauer Portugieser, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blauburger. In the vineyard, for example, natural, environmentally friendly viticulture is used greening and restriction of pesticides to the minimum necessary. Quality criteria are greatly reduced yields, high physiological ripeness of the grapes and selective hand picking. Some of the grapes are gently processed with whole grape pressing. The white wines are fermented and expanded in stainless steel in a temperature-controlled manner. The red wines are fermented in the stainless steel tank and mature after the biological acid degradation in the stainless steel and barrique. The premium wines include, for example, Grüner Veltliner Nussberg, Grüner Veltliner Sandberg, the Grüner Veltliner Feuerberg Reserve named after the highest elevation of the Manhartsberg, and the red wine cuvées "Vertigo" (Portugieser, Blauburger, Zweigelt). The winery is a member of the Retzer Land wineries,
