The Spanish winery is located in Torrelavit near Barcelona in the DO Penedès area. It was founded under this name in 1954, but its history dates back at least to the 19th century, when the company was one of the pioneers of cava production. Today it is owned by the multinational Freixenet. The vineyards cover 50 hectares. In addition to the Penedès wines, the farm is known above all for the production of cava. The range of sparkling wines produced includes, for example, the brands Aria Brut Nature, Brut Vintage, Conde de Caralt Chardonnay Brut, Heredad Reserva Brut, Lavit Brut Nature, Lavit Rosado and Torre Galimany Brut Nature.

Serious sources on the internet are rare - and Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one such source. When researching for my articles, I regularly consult the wein.plus encyclopaedia. There I get reliable and detailed information.
