The traditional winery is located in the municipality of Oberstinkenbrunn south of Retz in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Weinviertel. It was founded in 1849 and is now run by Josef and Christ, the fifth generation of the family, and Hannes, Stefan and Lisa Seifried, the sixth. The vineyards cover 13 hectares in the Altenberg and Lange Heide vineyards, for example. They are 80% planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (lead variety), Riesling, Chardonnay, Gelber Muskateller and Sauvignon Blanc, and 20% with the red wine varieties Zweigelt and St. Laurent.

The vineyards are cultivated according to KIP methods with, for example, nutrient supply to the vines through cover crop with clover between the rows. The grapes are harvested by hand at full physiological ripeness, if necessary several times. After gentle pressing, white wines are matured under temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the red wines in large wooden barrels and in barriques. Powerful wines and site wines are aged for a long time on the fine lees. Fine brandies and liqueurs are also produced.
