Select Gols

Winegrowers' association in the municipality of Gols in the Burgenland wine-growing region of Neusiedlersee (Austria). Members are the eight wineries of Gols: Bruckner Reinhard, Gsellmann Siegfried, Horvath Günter, Nittnaus Andreas, Preisinger Georg, Preisinger Helmut, Schmelzer Horst and Georg, as well as Weiss Andreas and Hans. Under the name "Gols" a regional red wine type is produced under the motto "harmonious, fruity, strong". Each of the Select Gols winegrowers composes his own individual cuvée. Only grapes from Golser Rieden may be used. The wines must be made from the four varieties BlaufränkischPinot Noir, St. Laurent and Zweigelt can be produced. They are only marketed two years after harvesting.
