The largest wine production and trading company in the Italian region (island) Sardinia
based in Alghero in the province of Sassari. The company was founded in 1899 by Emilio Sella and Edgardo Mosca and has developed into one of the largest and most modern wineries in Italy. The in-house museum with historical documents and numerous finds from excavations is a sight worth seeing.
The vineyards cover over 500 hectares of vineyards, most of which (unusual for Sardinia) are raised in pergola; this means that the grapes are not too exposed to the sun. Around 4.5 million bottles of wine are produced annually. Among other things, the DOCG Vermentino di Gallura

. Carignano del Sulcis
and Vermentino di Sardegna

, Since 2002 the Campari
Group the largest stake in Sella & Mosca.
