Servatius of Tongeren was the son of Jewish parents in Armenia born and died on May 13, 384 in Maastricht in the Netherlands the martyr's death. Around 340 he became Bishop of Tongeren and was mentioned as a participant in several councils, where he appeared as the main opponent of the doctrine of Arianism.
