Severny Bely

The white grape variety (also Severnyi Belyi) is an interspecific new cross between unknown varieties of the species Vitis amurensis x Vitis vinifera. The frost-hardy hybrid was crossed by Ivan Mitschurin (1855-1935) in Russia (then USSR). It is used as a winepress and table grape. No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics). Other similar new varieties are Severny and Severny Gyulyabi.
