Seyve-Villard 18-402

The red grape variety (also SV 18-402) is a new breeding between Seibel 7162 (Plantet x Seibel 5163) x Seyve-Villard 12-308 (Seibel 6468 x Subereux). It contains genes of Vitis berlandieri, Vitis cinerea, Vitis lincecumii, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. It is one of the numerous products of the French vine breeding company Seyve-Villard and was used as crossing partner for other new breeds such as the Klosterneuburger Weinbauinstitut for the varieties Rathay, Roesler and Seifert. In 2016 no stock was reported (Kym Anderson).
