The red grape variety (also North Carolina 153-1) is an interspecific new breed between Hunt x Magnolia, They are genes from Vitis labrusca. Vitis rotundifolia and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done in North Carolina in 1957 by the breeder CF Williams. The variety is called wine press and table grape used.
