Siegendorf monastery cellar

The estate is located in the municipality of Siegendorf in the Burgenland DAC area Leithaberg (Austria). The company has been operated by the Lenz Moser AG with headquarters in the municipality of Rohrendorf in Lower Austria. The old vines were cleared and mainly red wine was used for the new plant. Simon Hahnekamp acts as administrator. The vineyards cover 24 hectares, which are combined in a single large vineyard. Of these, 21 hectares are planted with the red varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot, and 3 hectares with Pinot Blanc. It is consistently using environmentally conscious viticulture Integrated crop protection with for example greening (Permanent greening) practiced. The red wines are aged for 6 to 18 months in French Allier oak barrels. Around 100,000 bottles of wine are produced annually.
