The Austrian wine book author and Wine critic Dr. Viktor Siegl (* 1952) studied law at the University of Wien and then worked in the Federal Service from 1978. Since 1983 there have been numerous publications on the subjects of wine and wine culture, including in the magazines Everything about wine and Vinaria.
Together with Prof. Rudolf Steurer (1924-2013) the work "Austrian Wine Guide" was published in 2000 with 6,650 addresses and 2,550 descriptions of wineries. With the same co-author, the periodical work "The Best Wines in Austria" has been published since 1997 based on the results of the most important national and international competitions. With Dr. Johann Werfring was created in 2009 "The Austrian Wine Cook Book".
