The winery is located in the municipality of Rossatz on the right bank of the Danube in the Lower Austrian wine-growing region of Wachau. It has been in the family for many generations and has been run by Heinz and Adrienne Sigl since 1989. The vineyards cover 7.5 hectares of vines in the Frauenweingärten, Mugler, Kellerweingärten, Kirnberg and Steiger vineyards. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner (65%), Riesling, Pinot Blanc and Müller-Thurgau, and with the red wine varieties Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon (15%). Quality criteria are optimal physiological ripeness and gentle processing.

Depending on the type of wine, it is matured in stainless steel tanks, large wooden bar rels or in barriques. The premium wines of the house include Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Steiger, Riesling Smaragd Kirnberg and the barrique-aged red wine cuvée Symphonie (Zweigelt, Cabernet Sauvignon). Around 60,000 bottles of wine are produced annually. Bottle-fermented sparkling wines and noble brandies (marc, apricot, Williams pear) are also produced. The winery is a member of the Vinea Wachau Nobilis Districtus winegrowers' association.
