This white grape variety is a new cross between Verdiso x Maddalene Reale (Madeleine Royale). Synonyms are Incrocio Dalmasso X/12 and Dalmasso 10/12. The cross was made in 1938 in Conegliano (Veneto) by Giovanni Dalmasso (1886-1974). The medium to late ripening vine yields neutral white wines and is also used as a table grape. It is grown in small quantities in the regions of Puglia (Taranto), Tuscany (Siena) and Veneto (Treviso). In 2016, 5 hectares of vines were reported in Italy with a decreasing trend (Kym Anderson statistics).

There is a vast number of sources on the web where one can acquire knowledge about wine. But none has the scope, timeliness and accuracy of the information in the encyclopaedia at wein.plus. I use it regularly and rely on it.
