Solnechnodolinsky

The white grape variety (also DM-63) comes from the Ukraine. The ancestry is unknown. However, it shows morphological similarities with the local variety Kapselsky. The variety was selected in the late 1960s by P. M. Gramotenko at the Magarach viticultural institute in Crimea. The late-maturing, high-yielding vine is cultivated in the Sudak region in the Solnechnaya Dolina (Sun Valley) area of Crimea, after which it was named. It is used there as a blend in often sweet dessert wines.
