Solonis

The vine is an interspecific, spontaneous cross between American Wild vines of the species Riparia x Longii. Synonyms are Pubescens, Riparia Pubescens, Riparia Rouge, Robusta, Solonis de Laval, Solonis du Mineur, Solonis Robusta, Solonis Tomenteux and Vitis Riparia Pubescent. They are genes from Vitis longii ( Vitis acerifolia ) and Vitis riparia contain. The hybrid was created in 1868 by botanist Georg Engelmann (1809-1884) in the United States discovered and only selected in Germany in 1886. It is a pure female grape, It is considered document used.
