Spätrot-Rotgipfler

Local, Austrian wine specialty from the well-known wine village Gumpoldskirchen (near Wien ) in the winegrowing area Thermenregion in the federal state of Lower Austria. The Cuvée is made from the two white indigenous grape varieties Rotgipfler (For alcohol content and volume) and Zierfandler (also "late red", hence the first part of the name, for backbone and finesse ) blended. The strong wine with an asparagus bouquet is often in the Prädikatswein area produced and has an excellent shelf life.
