Common name in Germany for a mixture of wine with soda or Mineral water, It is derived from what has become popular toast from a French officer stationed in Germany (Würzburg) at the beginning of the 19th century. In front of every glass he used to say "Toujour l'amour", which roughly means "love every day". This then became the verbal horn "Schorlemorle" and later the short form "Schorle".
