The white grape variety is a new variety between (Getsh x Amurskii) x Sibirkovy. Synonyms are Stepniak and Sztyepnyak. Genes from Vitis amurensis and Vitis vinifera are included. The hybrid was crossed in 1953 by Ya. Potapenko in the Soviet Union. It was a crossing partner in the new variety Boris. The variety is used as a winepress and table grape. In 2016, an area under cultivation of 144 hectares was reported in Russia (Kym Anderson).
