Steurer Rudolf

The Austrian wine expert and wine critic Professor Rudolf Steurer (1924-2013) studied at the University of World Trade in Wien . He is the author of well-respected wine books with a total circulation of over 250,000 copies and author of numerous articles. In particular, his "Wine Handbook", which has already appeared in several editions, has become a standard work for winemakers and other specialists as well as wine lovers under the term "The Steurer". Other books of his are "European Wine Almanac" with co-author wolfgang Thomann, "World Wine Almanac" with co-authors Josef Schuller (MW) and dr. Wolfgang Thomann, as well as the Dr. Viktor Siegl wrote "Österreichischer Weinführer" with 6,650 addresses and 2,250 descriptions of wineries. Since 1997, the same co-author has been publishing the periodical "The Best Wines of Austria" based on the results of the most important national and international performance competitions.
