Stiftsberg

Single location in the municipality of Heilbronn (Württembergisch Unterland area) in the German growing region Wuerttemberg, It was first mentioned as "Stifteberch" in 1281. The name goes back to the then owner of the Comburg Abbey. The vineyards, which are oriented from north to east and have a slope of 10 to 40%, cover around 325 hectares of vineyards. Due to the size it is a very inhomogeneous position. The floor was formed by the weathering of the gypsum pottery calcareous claystone. The characteristic plaster inlays were so powerful in some places that they were even dismantled earlier. The vineyards, for example, have a share in the situation Drautz-Able. GA Heinrich.
