The traditional "Winery J & HA Strub" is located in the community Nierstein (Area Nierstein) in the German growing area Rheinhessen, It was founded in 1710. After visiting the University of Applied Sciences of Viticulture in Geisenheim and practical experience Simi Winery in the Californian Napa Valley It is led since 1985 by Walter Strub in 11th family generation. After internships at Darting Helmut (Palatinate) and Dönnhoff Hermann (Close), as well as study of oenology in Geisenheim is working with son Sebastian already the 12th generation.
The vineyards cover 14 hectares of vineyards in the Niersteiner individual layers hipping. Mount of Olives. Orbel.
