Sukholimansky Bely

The white grape variety is a new breed between Chardonnay x Plavaï ( Plavay ). The crossing took place in 1949 in the Ukraine by the breeder YS Komarova. The variety protection was issued in 1969. The variety was a cross partner in new breeding Kangun, The medium-ripening vine is resistant to frost to minus 20 ° Celsius. It is used for the production of wine, sparkling wine and table grapes used. The variety is grown in the Kherson, Nikolaev and Odessa regions. In 2010, it occupied 1,477 hectares in the Ukraine. There were further stocks in 2010 in Moldova (599 ha) and Russia (890 ha).
