Supp Eckhard

The German wine journalist, photographer, book author and wine critic Dr. Eckhard Supp (* 1950) studied from 1969 to 1975 history, philosophy, sociology and politics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt / Main. He was Supp instrumental in the compilation of the register volume of the Hegel Complete Edition in Suhrkamp -Verlag. From 1977 to 1984 he lived and worked as a freelance journalist and photographer in Paris. In this context, he has been taking long journeys of reportage to many countries around the world. Since 1986, the focus has been on wine, working with magazines or publishers such as Vinum. Gambero Rosso, Wine market and cooperation wine guides (Vini d'Italia, Slow Food ).

The author activity mainly covers the topics of travel, food and drinks. Founded in 1992, ENO Verlag has been publishing about 20 books on wine since 1995. Some of them are Wine for Beginners (1992), Encyclopedia of Italian Wine (Ed. 1995), Encyclopedia of Austrian Wine. (Ed. 1996), Encyclopaedia of German Wines (ed. 1997), Eno Guide: 100 Tips on Wine (1999), Wine Goblet for Globetrotter (2004) and The Brockhaus Wine. (Red line 2009). From the book series "Wine & Travel" published since 2001, there are volumes to the wine and travel destinations Australia, Barolo, Barbaresco, Burgenland, Rhône, South Africa, Tuscany, Veneto, Wien .
