The “Amador” is the best-known brand among the red Zinfandels. The M. Trinchero label, named in honor of the company's founder Mario Trinchero, was launched in 1995. For this purpose, a “winery in a winery” with special conditions was built. These include small fermentation tanks so that small quantities can be removed individually, new French barriques and an innovative fog system in the barrel storage for better maturation. Under the responsibility of star winemaker Derek Holstein, top wines from Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc are produced from the best locations in the Napa Valley. Each layer is vinified individually and only the barrels with the best and finest characteristics and the greatest complexity are then selected.
