Szápari

Reed or vineyard site (also Szápary) in the municipality of Eisenberg in the wine-growing region of Eisenberg (southern Burgenland, Austria). The name derives from a former Hungarian owner. The south-east facing vineyards consist of weathered iron-bearing slate and rocky brown earth soils. On the soil, which is ideal for red wines, mainly the sorter Blaufränkisch cultivated. Shares in the reed are, for example, held by the vineyards Groszer Wein, Jalits, Kopfensteiner, Schiefer Uwe and Schützenhof.
