The "Szigeti sparkling wine producer" is located in the municipality Gols
in the Burgenland wine region Lake Neusiedl
, It was founded in 1991. The company is managed by Norbert (cellar master) and Peter Szigeti (sales & marketing). The grapes are supplied by contract winemakers who cultivate around 100 hectares of vineyards; 90% from the Seewinkel. The part from the vineyards Altenberg

and gusset is used exclusively for the "Gols Prestige". To a small extent, grapes are also made Krems
(Lower Austria) used for the special "limited edition" series of location sparkling wines. The main varieties are Grüner Veltliner and Welschriesling with around a third of the production. Others are the white varieties Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer, Muskat-Ottonel and Neuburger, as well as the red varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch
and Pinot Noir.
The wide range of products includes 30 different sparkling wine and frizzante specialties made from local grapes, which are produced according to type and as cuvées. These are produced exclusively according to the classic "Méthode traditionnelle" (bottle fermentation), whereby great value varietal
is placed. Premium products include Gols Prestige (from the Golser Rieden), Grüner Veltliner Brut (from the Riede), which has matured on the yeast for 36 months sandpit
in Krems), Blanc de Noirs (Riede Sauberg in Langenlois), Riesling Brut (Riede Spitzer Graben in Spitz) and Sauvignon Blanc Brut (Riede Langer Acker in Apetlon). There will also be two organic sect according to the guidelines of the association Bio Austria
as well as "Szigeti Beer" with second fermentation in the bottle with champagne yeast.
