The white grape variety (breeding no. Würzburg B 48-21-8) is a new breeding between Müller-Thurgau x Siegerrebe. It was cross-bred in 1948 by the breeder Dr. Hans Breider (1908-2000) at the Bavarian State Institute for Viticulture and Horticulture in Würzburg (Germany). By the way, the three new varieties Muscabona, Ortega and Thekla were created with the same parents. In 2016 no stocks were recorded (statistics Kym Anderson).

The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
