Tasting Bowl Tastevin Traditional wine tasting bowl, which is mostly made of silver, but also made of glass or porcelain. Documented evidence is a use already from the 14th century. The goblets have a diameter between 6.5 to 10 centimeters, oblique sidewalls and a slightly curved upwards floor. They have different sized, small bowl-shaped depressions and elevations on the inside, which reflect the light used in the test candlelight and even in a dusky cellar, the test of clarity and the colour to allow a wine.
