The red grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Riparia x Tempranillo, They are genes from Vitis riparia and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid was done in 1996 by Ed Swanson in Nebraska- United States, The breeder worked with Elmer Swenson (1913-2004) together (nothing is known about a possible relationship between the two). The late ripening vine is susceptible to real ones mildew, It produces red wines with soft ones tannins and cherry flavor. The variety is grown in small quantities in Nebraska. In 2010, however, no stock was shown (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
