The winery is located in the municipality of Gamlitz in the Austrian wine-growing region of Southern Styria. It was built up by DI Sebastian Lerchl, an oenology graduate of the University of Applied Sciences Geisenheim (Rheingau) in a short time. He also gained practical experience at the Gross Alois winery. The responsible cellar master is Andrej Bernard. The control centre of the "Vino Alpe Adria" is located in Gamlitz (Gomeliz). This company, founded in 2005, includes other wineries in Bosnia-Herzegovina (Hepok), Croatia (Budikovac, Vis) and Slovenia (Jeruzalem, Krainz). The vineyards in "Gomeliz" (Gamlitz) comprise 10 hectares of own land and 30 hectares of cooperative land (lease and supply of grapes from contract winegrowers). The white wine varieties Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Welschriesling and Morillon are processed to 80% and the red wine varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Cabernet Sauvignon to 20%. The winery also offers the possibility for seminars and events.
