The red grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Alicante Bouschet x Rupestris Monticola(Rupestris du Lot). Synonyms are Alicante Terras, Alicante Terras 20 and Poamă Tiraza. Genes of Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera are included. The hybrid was crossed in France by the breeder Marcien Louis Terras. The variety was a crossing partner of the new breeding Bienvenu. It is cultivated in the Département Landes in southwest France in very small quantities. In 2016, only 0.2 hectares were registered (statistics Kym Anderson).
