The red grape variety is an interspecific new breed between Alicante Bouschet x Rupestris Monticola (Rupestris du Lot). Synonyms are Alicante Terras, Alicante Terras 20 and Poamă Tiraza. They are genes from Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera contain. The crossing of the hybrid took place in France by the breeder Marcien Louis Terras. The variety was a cross partner of the new breed Bienvenu. It is located in the Landes department in Southwest France grown on almost one hectare (Kym Anderson ).
