Terratico di Bibbona

DOC area for red wines, rosé wines and white wines in the Italian region of Tuscany. The zone covers in its entirety the municipalities of Bibbona, Cecina, Collesalvetti and Rosignano Marittimo in the province of Livorno. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna followed by the name of the vineyard can be indicated on the bottle label.

The Bianco is made from Vermentino (50%) and other authorised varieties (max. 50%). The wine types Rosso (also as Superiore) and Rosato are blended from Sangiovese (zum. 35%) and Merlot (zum. 35%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 30%). The pure variety wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety, the remaining 15% can be other approved varieties. These are the four red wines Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese and Syrah, and the two white wines Trebbiano(Trebbiano Toscano) and Vermentino.
