Thurling

The white grape variety (also Alzey 46-12, Aurea) is a new breed between Müller-Thurgau x Riesling, from which also the name resulted. The crossing was done by Georg Shy (1879-1949) at the State Institute for Vine Breeding in Alzey (Rhineland). In 2010, no inventory was reported (Kym Anderson ).
