The white grape variety originates from Moldova. The approximately 50 synonyms indicate a great age and once wide distribution of the vine. Some of them are Brauner Veltliner, Feigenblättrige Feigenblättrige Imperialrebe, Fuerjmony, Fuerjmony Fehér, Fuerymony, Fuerymony Fehér, Imperialrebe, Kabak Iouziomiou, Tidva, Tigrosa, Tigva, Tigvi, Tikveno Grozde, Tikveno Grozdet, Tiudva, Tivda, Tivga, Törok Bajor, Wachteleitraube and Weiße Geisdutte. Despite seemingly suggestive synonyms or morphological similarities, it must not be confused with the Azerbaijani variety Tebrizi. The parentage is unknown. It is a purely female grape variety. Nothing is known about a possible genetic relationship to the variety Braunweißer Veltliner (with partly the same synonyms). According to DNA analyses, it is a parent of the Kharistvala Kolkhuri variety. No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
