The winery is located in Eisenstadt, the capital of Burgenland, in the Leithaberg wine-growing region (Austria). The winery was moved to Trausdorf in 2010. The traditional business is managed by Erwin Tinhof in the 11th family generation. After studying agriculture at the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences in Vienna, he spent a semester at the University of Montpellier and an internship at the French winery Mas de Daumas-Gassac (Languedoc). The vineyards comprise 14 hectares of vines on the slopes of the Leithagebirge in the Fuchsenriegel and Feuersteig vineyards. They are planted with vines up to 50 years old. These are the white wine varieties Weißburgunder(Pinot Blanc), Neuburger and Muskat-Ottonel, as well as the red wine varieties Blaufränkisch St. Laurent and Zweigelt. Since 2020, 300 vines of the reactivated variety Ingram's Muscat have been planted in the Feuersteig site under the registered name Muscat de Noir Eisenstadt. The cultivation is carried out in accordance with the guidelines of organic viticulture, which have been certified since 2012. These include, among other things, the renunciation of insecticides and herbicides, as well as environmentally friendly fertilization without synthetic substances.

After selective manual harvesting, the white wine grapes are either pressed immediately or left on the mash for a few hours. This is followed by chilled fermentation with the aim of producing varietal typical wines. Further ageing takes place either in large wooden barrels or in stainless steel tanks, depending on the vintage, quality and variety. The red wine grapes undergo a classic maceration for one to four weeks, depending on their maturity. The further maturation takes place in large wooden barrels. Special white wine and red wine qualities are matured in barriques. Premium wines include various red wines and white wines Leithaberg DAC (Erwin Tinhof was a founding member of the Leithaberg Group in 2006). In years with suitable weather conditions, noble sweet Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese are also pressed. The wines are exported to Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium and the Czech Republic as well as to the USA.
