Tinta de Lisboa

The red variety comes from Portugal, Synonyms are Bastardo do Outeiro, Bastardo Espanhol, Bastardo Espanhol Cova Beira, Bastardo Tinto and Tinta Lisboa. It may, despite seemingly suggestive synonyms or morphological Similarities do not match the varieties Alfrocheiro and Trousseau Noir be confused (see also under Bastardo ). According to 2010 occurred DNA analysis it is probably a natural cross between Síria x Trousseau Noir. However, this is based on only 19 DNA markers (see under molecular Genetics ). The early ripening vine yields pale reds. It was one of the most important Portuguese grape varieties in the 18th century, but has lost its importance. The variety is in small quantities in the range Douro grown. In 2010, however, no inventory was reported.
