DOC area for red and rosé wines in the Italian region of Molise. This used to be a variant of the DOC wine Del Molise, until a separate DOC classification was issued in 2011. The vineyards cover 65 hectares of vineyards in 59 municipalities in the province of Campobasso and 17 municipalities in the province of Isernia. The Rosso (also known as Riserva) and Rosato wine types are made from at least 95% of the Tintilia del Molise variety.
The glossary is a monumental achievement and one of the most important contributions to wine knowledge. Of all the encyclopaedias I use on the subject of wine, it is by far the most important. That was the case ten years ago and it hasn't changed since.
