The white grape variety is an interspecific new variety between Seibel 5279 (Aurore) x Chardonnay. Synonyms are Ravat 578 and Tehere Dore. It contains genes from Vitis aestivalis, Vitis rupestris and Vitis vinifera. The hybrid was crossed in France by Jean François Ravat (+1940). No stock was reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson).
