An autumn tradition in South Tyrol, celebrated with a cosy get-together and hearty food and wine from local kitchens and cellars. The festival is celebrated in all the wine taverns and inns and, if necessary, also in the wine cellars of the province. The focus is on tasting the young, not yet fermented grape must and, later in the year, the new young wine. The term derives from the torggel (traditional tree press). See also a list of relavant keywords under winegrowing customs.
For me, Lexicon from wein.plus is the most comprehensive and best source of information about wine currently available.
