Torres used to be called until the famous Spanish estate owner Miguel Torres
(* 1941) successfully protested against it. The wines are mainly from the native varieties Arinto, Camarate (Castelão Nacional), Fernão Pires, Jampal, Mortágua (Trincadeira Preta), Periquita, Rabo de Ovelha, Seara Nova, Tinta Miúda (Graciano) and Vital pressed. Mainly it is simple table wines (Vinho de mesa).
