Trautlestal

single vineyard in the municipality of Hammelburg (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. It consists of several separate vineyards, some of which are far apart from each other. The southeast, south and southwest-facing vineyards, with slopes ranging from 20 to 60%, cover 32 hectares of vines on red sandstone and shell limestone soils. The varieties cultivated here include Silvaner, Riesling, Müller-Thurgau and Pinot Noir. The Baldauf, Müller Thomas, Ruppert and Städtische Weinkellerei Schloss Saaleck wineries, for example, have shares in the site.
