The white grape variety comes from Croatia, Synonyms are Dobrogoština, Grban, Kuč, Pljuskavac, Rukavina, Šampanjol, Trbljan Beli and Trbljan Bijeli. It should be noted that in VIVC catalog no independent variety Trbljan is kept. Instead, Trbljan (Torbijan, Trbljan Beli, Trbljan Bijeli) is synonymous with the variety Mostosa specified. The medium to late ripening, productive vine is susceptible to both mildews and Botrytis, It produces acidic, simple and rather low alcohol white wines. The variety is widespread in southern Dalmatia, along the Croatian coast and also on the island of Vis. In 2010, it occupied a total of 231 hectares of vineyards (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
