Trenz Michael

The winery is located in the municipality Johannisberg (District of Geisenheim ) in the German growing area Rheingau, The traditional family has been wine-growing here since 1670. Michael Trenz is now the 11th generation to run the business. A wine bar with Rheingau cuisine and a Mediterranean courtyard is connected. The vineyards cover 17 hectares of vineyards in individual locations hell and Vogelsang (Johannisberg), Dachsberg, Gutenberg and Hasensprung (Winkel), Magdalenenkreuz (Rüdesheim), and Kläuserweg (Geisenheim). They are planted with the white wine varieties Riesling (85%) and Pinot Blanc (12%) as well as with the red wine Pinot Noir (3%). The grapes, harvested late and selectively, are vinified into fresh fruit, sparkling wines after gentle pressing and slow, restrained cold fermentation.
