Triplet Blanc

The white grape variety is a new breed between Colombard x Vernaccia Sarda Vernaccia di Oristano (but it is not clearly secured by which Vernaccia variety it actually is). The crossing took place in California in the 1960s by the private breeder Fay Triplet (1904-2000), the selection in the mid-1980s in collaboration with the University of California and the wine multi Gallo, The high-yielding vine produces acidic, fruity, full-bodied white wines. In 2010 was in the USA - California a total acreage of 244 hectares (Statistics Kym Anderson ).
