The white grape variety originates from France. Synonyms are Béquignol Rosé, Chauche Gris, Gray Riesling, Grey Riesling, Gris de Salces and Terret d'Afrique. It is a somatic mutation with reddish berries of the red variety Trousseau Noir. Nothing is known about a possible relationship to the Ondenc variety (with synonym Trousseau Gris). No stocks were reported in 2016 (Kym Anderson statistics).
In the past, you needed a wealth of encyclopaedias and specialist literature to keep up to date in your vinophile professional life. Today, Wine lexicon from wein.plus is one of my best helpers and can rightly be called the "bible of wine knowledge".
