The winery is located in the municipality of Glanz in the Austrian wine-growing region of southern Styria at the highest point of the Langeggerberg near the border with Slovenia. It was taken over and rebuilt by Andreas and Elisabeth Tscheppe (brother Ewald Tscheppe owns the Werlitsch winery). The new vineyards were planted on terraces and cover four hectares of vines, three of which are trrass. They are planted with the white wine varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Morillon, Welschriesling, Gelber Muskateller and Goldmuskateller, as well as Pinot Noir. Biodynamic viticulture is practised on all vineyards. The work in the vineyards is partly carried out in consideration of the phases of the moon, in order to include the effect of the moon on the water and thus also on the plants. The aim is to grow powerful vines with deep roots, because these reach deeper soil layers.

Vinification still takes place in the cellar of the nearby family home. The wines are produced in two different lines. The classic "at-line" is vinified in stainless steel tanks. The second line comprises the purist wines. These are fermented spontaneously and mature exclusively in traditional wooden barrels. Each line has its own labels, with pictures of native animals such as salamanders, dragonflies and stag beetles used for the individual varieties. The so-called "earth barrel wines" are a speciality. For this, selected grapes are fermented spontaneously. After 14 days of maceration, the wine is transferred to a wooden barrel where the remaining fermentation and biological acid degradation take place. Then the barrel is buried in the ground over the winter months. This is to harness the strong energy under the earth, especially in the winter months, for wine maturation. Grape juice, seed oil and pomace brandy are also produced.
